Contrary to the reports doing the rounds on social media, Karan Johar has DENIED Ishaan Khatter’s involvement in Student Of The Year 2. Karan took to social media to say, “CLARIFICATION: Ishaan is the lead of #Dhadak directed by @ShashankKhaitan and Tiger Shroff is the Lead of #StudentOfTheYear2 directed by @punitdmalhotra ...all other cross stories floating around are baseless and untrue....”


Rumours of Ishaan being a part of the project had been doing the rounds since quite some time. However, this morning a leading daily reported that Ishaan will star in SOTY 2 with Tiger Shroff and Ananya Pandey. So all of you, who got excited to see Ananya and Ishaan share the screen space, this piece of information will surely let you down. Nevertheless, we look forward to seeing Ishaan and Ananya in a film some day.

Talking about the leading lady of the film, SpotboyE.com was the FIRST one to tell you that Chunky Pandey’s daughter Ananya Pandey has been roped in as the female lead.

The film is a sequel to 2012 romantic drama, Student Of The Year, which introduced Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. Given that those three names have now achieved A-list status, it is obvious that the sequel to the high school romance will be a hot ticket to Bollywood.

Coming back to Ishaan, for now, he is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Dhadak opposite Janhvi Kapoor. The film, an official remake of Sairat, is slated to release in July 2018.
